MANNA offers a variety of internships ranging from daily operations support to the multi-faceted work of public relations, special events planning, and fundraising.
Nutrition and Client Services Intern - FILLED
The Nutrition and Client Services departments are entrusted with maintaining all aspects of client care. These departments coordinate all communication and services among clients with health care providers & community partners. MANNA provides a unique opportunity to experience the many facets of community nutrition as well as Medical Nutrition Therapy experiences in several infectious disease clinics. Interns are provided with opportunities to hone their skills with group nutrition education, individual nutrition counseling, and development of educational tools and tips. MANNA interns can be involved in all areas of operations including meal preparation, menu development or enhancement, distribution and quality assurance endeavors. Public Relations Intern - FILLED
Public Relations Intern - FILLED
MANNA is offering an internship that will involve the multi-faceted work of public relations, marketing and communications. From press release writing to media pitching, to the creative process that goes into photo shoots and editing sessions, interns are exposed to the step-by-step development of entire public relations campaigns. Additional responsibilities of interns include: on-site staffing for events, creation/maintenance of media lists, media distribution, newsletter writing/editing, newspaper reading, Web research and posting, website updating, e-newsletter development, assembly of media/clip reports and administrative tasks such as office maintenance, filing, etc. All internships at MANNA are unpaid positions. Special Events Intern - FILLED
The goal of the development team is to create exciting and innovative funding opportunities for individuals, corporations and foundations by encouraging them to participate in MANNA’s mission. At the base of the fund raising efforts lies the challenge of raising adequate funds to keep pace with the ever-increasing need for services. In response to increasing demand, MANNA has expanded and accelerated fund raising efforts in order to establish an extensive and balanced base of support and revenue streams. Special Events Intern will assist with various responsibilities with MANNA’s annual signature events, Pie in the Sky, and Shut Up & Dance. All internships at MANNA are unpaid positions.
