As director of events and communications, Meg is responsible for the oversight of fundraising events, the functioning and content of the website and web 2.0 presence, as well as the overall communications for MANNA. Meg develops and implements the marketing and public relations plans, edits the donor and monthly newsletters, and edits client videos and stories. She is the former chair of the organization's workplace safety committee (2004-2008) that works to identify and resolve safety concerns at the facility.

Meg served on the Steering Committee for the ANSA (Association of Nutrition Services Agencies) Conference held in Philadelphia in June 2008, and served on the Joint Conference Steering Committee for the ANSA/NANASP (National Association of Nutrition and Aging Services Programs) Conference held in Atlanta in 2009. Meg recently completed the Association of Fundraising Professionals "Fundamentals of Fundraising" course, and holds a certificate in website design from Temple University.  Meg also completed the United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania's Emerging Leaders Program.

Meg began working at MANNA in August of 2004 as an events manager, and also held the position of development manager. Prior to her work at MANNA, Meg worked as a special events and public relations associate at Fleischman Gerber & Associates in Philadelphia, as a research coordinator in the geriatric psychiatry department of the University of Pennsylvania, as the studio manager at Third Story Recording in West Philadelphia, and as a store manager at Waldenbooks bookstores.

Meg received her A.S. in Hospitality and Restaurant Management from Burlington County College, her B.S. in Social Work from The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey, and also studied theatre, folklore and music history at the College of General Studies at the University of Pennsylvania. She enjoys singing and has an extensive collection of swing, jazz and old country music.
