PIE IN THE SKY - October 6 thru November 24, 2010

This unique event is supported by individuals, companies and schools during the six weeks leading up to Thanksgiving Day. Throughout the season, it generates considerable media attention and raises awareness for the power of nutrition.
THANKSGIVING DAY – Thursday, November 25, 2010
In a time-honored tradition, caring volunteers prepare and deliver a bountiful Thanksgiving feast for four to more than 500 of MANNA’s clients. The day begins at 5 AM when more than 100 volunteers arrive to work side-by-side with MANNA chefs to cook turkeys, mash potatoes and package the feast. Mid-morning, 100 more volunteers arrive, packing their cars to deliver meals and warm wishes. Prominent leaders typically join our ranks for the day, and network news teams regularly shine a bright light on MANNA and our warm-hearted holiday tradition.
