As an acclaimed public health advocate and leader with a national reputation in her field, Dr. Chilton investigates the health impacts of hunger and food insecurity among children aged zero to three. Dwight Evans is one of the most well respected legislators serving in the Pennsylvania General Assembly today. Evans has earned a national reputation for his work to deliver quality food to underserved communities. He is the catalyst behind the Pennsylvania's Fresh Food Financing Initiative; through this program, public and private money i sused to expand or build grocery stores in urban and rural communities. As the only HIV infectious disease clinic in the region with a full time nutritionist on staff, The Partnership Comprehensive Care Practice (Partnership) delivers primary and specialty HIV medical care provided by a team of physicians and nurse practitioners with extensive training in HIV medicine, primary care, and infectious diseases. Dr. Jacobson is honored to accept this award on behalf of the entire team of the Partnership, and would particularly like to acknowledge the dedicated work of the Parternship's nutritionist and certified diabetes educator, Margaret Cauterucci, R.D., for her tireless efforts in providing nutritional assessments, education, and resources to improve the health and nourishment of HIV-infected patients.
