Dietary Accommodations
MANNA addresses specific medical dietary needs for diagnoses such as diabetes, heart diseases and renal failure. MANNA uses dots to color-code modified meals to protect our clients' confidentiality regarding their medical conditions. Because illness affects everyone differently, a professional staff of dietitians and chefs offer several meal modifications for individuals that MANNA serves. Standard MANNA meals are "heart-healthy" – high in protein and moderate in carbohydrates and fat to help nourish clients through the debilitating effects of their illnesses.
MANNA can also accommodate several personal and/or religious preferences, such as no pork, no seafood, or no beef. For those clients with chewing difficulties, we can accommodate with dental soft diets and pureed meals. However, MANNA is unable to accommodate vegetarian diets as well as certain allergies.
