Positively Nutritious

For newly diagnosed HIV/AIDS patients, learning how to take care of their bodies not only medically but nutritionally becomes the primary goal with treatment.  MANNA is starting a comprehensive new program beginning in January 2012 for newly diagnosed patients with AIDS.  The program was developed in response to recent research done in the New York City area by researchers at Columbia University.  Click here for more information on that study.

Positively Nutritious is a 6 month set of classes designed to help individuals who have been newly diagnosed with AIDS within the past year. The classes focus on teaching participants how to improve their nourishment through educational classes, and private medical nutrition therapy sessions with MANNA’s registered dietitians. Also all students will  receive 6 months of MANNA’s free meal program.
