Once a year, the magic happens.

On that day the dancers of Pennsylvania Ballet turn emotion into movement, and dance into a gift of love and hope…and MANNA’s annual “Shut Up and Dance” performance springs into life onstage at the Forrest Theatre.

Shut Up & Dance is a one-night only benefit performance by Dancers of Pennsylvania Ballet for MANNA. Each year, the Dancers choreograph and perform original pieces for a night of entertainment, inspiration and creativity. In 1992, Dancers of Pennsylvania Ballet were losing loved ones to the HIV/AIDS virus and wanted to do something to help. After hours of brainstorming, they agreed they would do what they do best…they would “shut up & dance”.
