We love our volunteers!
Almost everywhere you go at MANNA you’ll see signs letting our volunteers know how very much they’re appreciated…and we mean it! MANNA’s volunteers are the connecting thread that binds together our nutritional program bringing nourishment, counseling and education to our clients. MANNA’s meals are prepared and delivered thanks to the caring commitment of more than 3,500 volunteers annually. Contributing over 40,000 hours of uncompensated service each year to MANNA’s kitchen, client delivery routes, administrative offices, and fundraising activities, MANNA volunteers represent a compassionate mosaic of caring citizens. That’s why an essential part of MANNA’s mission is providing a way for volunteers to help neighbors in need. MANNA is a community, too – a living, breathing and growing community for people of all ages and walks of life. We invite you – whether as an individual or part of a group – to become part of our vital community…and our mission.
On Thanksgiving Day we celebrate the holiday with our clients and their families by delivering almost 3,000 traditional, homemade Thanksgiving meals. It is truly a day of thanks in the MANNA kitchen as more than 500 volunteers, staff, and dignitaries come together to prepare, package, and home-deliver the client Thanksgiving meals. Thanksgiving Day is MANNA at our best; truly Neighbors Nourishing Neighbors!
